Fellowship-trained Musculoskeletal Radiologist Joins Borg & Ide Imaging
Valeriy Kheyfits, M.D. has joined Borg & Ide Imaging, the area’s largest and oldest medical imaging practice. After graduating summa cum laude from Pace University with a B.S. in biology, Dr. Kheyfits received his medical degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, followed by a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He received a number of scholarships and awards throughout his medical training.
“Complicated anatomy is fascinating to me,” says Dr. Kheyfits. “I was fortunate to train at one of the best orthopedic institutes in the country. I’m especially interested in musculoskeletal ultrasound and look forward to applying advanced techniques to help my patients.”
Born in the Ukraine, Dr. Kheyfits speaks Russian and Ukranian. He is a huge sports fan, especially of the Chicago Bulls. Newly married this August, he and his wife will live in Rochester.
Dr. Kheyfits joins 27 other board-certified radiologists who provide care in 10 locations throughout the greater Rochester area.
